New Moon Meditation
I’ll be recording a New Moon Meditation each month. These meditations will be relevant to the energies of the month and the season. These meditations will be best done on the day/eve of the new moon, the day before or the day after, to utilize the energy most effectively (a three-day window). You can also use them periodically throughout the moon cycle until the full moon. On or around the full moon, I encourage you to give gratitude for the intention of the new moon, made manifest. As you know, the moon is on a 28-day cycle, so the day of the week of the new moon and meditation will vary each month. It is my intention that having access to the pre-recorded meditation a few days before the new moon, will give you an opportunity to listen at a time within that three-day window, when you can create a quiet and receptive atmosphere.
New Moon Musings February 2024
In the Pacific Time Zone, the moon is new on 2/9/24 at 2:59 pm and full on 2/24 at 04:30 am. All times taken from https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/usa/sandpoint
February is shaping up to be a dynamic month! So short, yet so jam packed with energetic and astrological changes! I’m not an astrologer, but I’m hearing about the powerful opportunities we all have this month. There are many great astrologers on line, but if you want a personal reading and explanation of these times, I’ll refer you to Govinda Miller at https://www.astrologywithgovinda.com/ it’s nice to have a “roadmap” to navigate with.
So how do we stay grounded, compassionate and loving in a time of flux and transition? For me, the answer is to go within and connect with Source, Creator, God, whatever term feels good for you. The simple daily practice of meditation, prayer and gratitude brings me into alignment with the Christ Consciousness; my highest good.
May you find this short meditation video a helpful tool to bring yourself into the place of well-being and remembrance that you are embraced by love, peace and have everything you need for divinely guided action.
With Love, Deborah

Winter Solstice 2023 Video Meditation
In the Western hemisphere, the Winter Solstice is on December 21, 2023 at 7:27 pm in the Pacific Time Zone.
https://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/winter-solstice.html
The Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, is upon us. As it made its approach, I could feel the darkness drawing me into introspection and rest. This time of year, has become nourishing for me. Even with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I feel the pull of going into silence and contemplation. I imagine Bear feels a similar pull to hibernation.
This year, the Winter Solstice feels like an especially potent event. It’s calling me to catch my breath, to center and allow the stillness and darkness to wrap itself around me in a comforting, mothering way. When I do this, I hear the dreams of my ancestors, the cooing of Nature, speaking to me as a beloved child. I’m grateful for this time of internal light.
The darkness is me readying me for explosive growth and opportunity, as it does a seed. As the seed carries its master plan within, you and I carry a plan unique to each of us, instilled by our Creator. As the seed is warmed and touched by the increasing sun, I also feel the stretching and reaching to meet my highest potential; to choose to carry more light. The light will return slowly and gently, giving both the earth and humanity sure and steady fuel for the work of Being.
Growth allows each of us to slough off and discard what doesn’t serve us. I anticipate that the upcoming year will bring incredible opportunities for personal and societal growth. These times of transition, of falling away and bringing in the new may feel chaotic and confusing. Know that everything you and I need is within.
As the light returns, I will be going within to be nourished, asking for greater illumination through communion with the Christ Consciousness. I invite you to connect in whatever way feels right for you.
In this video I offer you a short, guided Winter Solstice meditation. May it bring you peace, restoration and deep connection as the Light returns.
With Love, Deborah
September 2023 New Moon and Fall Equinox Meditation
In the Pacific Time Zone, the New Moon occurs on September 14th at 6:39 pm. The moon is full on the 29th at 02:57 am. The Autumn Equinox is on September 22nd at 11:50 pm. (All times/dates taken from https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/ )
Wow, did this summer zoom by! Here in North Idaho, the nights are cooling, the days are still warm and sunny, but the push to get things in order before winter is beginning to take priority.
September brings the Autumnal Equinox, the astronomical start of Autumn. It is the mid-point between the summer and winter solstices. It is a time to find balance. It’s harvest time. Hopefully, you’re seeing a good return for the work you’ve put in over the summer—the season of growth and transformation. This season is the time of gathering so that you can be sustained for the introspection and gestation that winter often brings.
In this meditation I will ask you to go to a metaphorical garden that represents your life and desires. Here, you will ask to see what your thoughts are creating and how this serves you, or doesn’t. You have the opportunity to weed, and harvest what you’ve been growing or take it to the compost pile!
This is the work of balance, of vision and inner-standing of what is yours to do and how you choose to show up in your life. While the meditation is guided, let your soul bring you the information that your mind most needs at this time.
Thank you to all sent prayers and good thoughts my way while I finished my book proposal. It was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. I’m continuing to write and expand into new ways of being of service; my personal goal is to have the book completed and off to a publisher by late 2024.
July 2023 New Moon Meditation
The new moon occurs on July 17th at 11:31 am. The moon is full on August 1st, also at 11:31 am. Times listed are in the Pacific time zone according to https://www.timeanddate.com
July always seems like a busy time. Independence Day kicks off the summer season and the days, while long, seem to fly by. So many projects and fun to be had! Before I know it, Fall will be here and there will be the scramble to get the summer projects wrapped up before the snow comes. But for now, I’m enjoying the sun and food from the garden.
“Busy” doesn’t really cover what’s going on for me this July. I’m currently part of a Hay House Publishing writer’s membership. I have a deadline of August 17th to submit my proposal. This is one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done professionally. I’m asking for your support, prayers and good wishes as I move into a new phase of working. It is my prayer to be of service in a deeper way.
While I truly enjoy writing and recording the New Moon Meditations and being able to offer the Group Distance Reiki, I will be taking a break from these offerings until Fall. I’ve reposted the meditation recorded in July, 2021. I hope that you enjoy it.
I will send a link for a previously recorded New Moon Meditation in August as well.
June 2023 New Moon/Summer Solstice Meditation
In the Pacific time zone, the moon is new on June 17th at 9:37 pm. The next full moon occurs on July 3rd at 04:38 am and the Summer Solstice is on June 21st at 07:57 am.
All times taken from, https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/@5380273
Wow! We’re already to the mid-point of the year. This week, we have a New Moon and the Solstice just days apart-very powerful!
To me, summer is the time of year when growth, momentum and the dreams of Winter and Spring start to come to fruition. Depending on where you live, fresh fruits, flowers and vegetables are growing well and ripening. Even kids grow faster as they’re (hopefully) spending more time outside being nurtured by the elements.
As the sun hits its longest day, the Solstice on the 21st, we have the opportunity to join those that have gone before us, in honoring the power of Light—the Light that we’ve been imbued with by Creator, the Light of God that animates and fuels our souls, as well as the physical light that powers the growth of the world. Sunlight is the power that steers the weather by virtue of heating the oceans and condensing water vapor into rain, and other actions. Light is an important component of the chemical reactions that take place within the cells of our body. It is important for the regulation of our hormones and emotions. The sun is a catalyst, the Great Alchemist of the physical, and I would say the metaphysical world as well. It is the symbology of The Son, of Ra and the Great Central Sun.
In March, for the Spring Equinox, we went to a place in nature that nurtured us and asked to have an “inner-standing” of the gifts that we’ve been given to bring forward. In this guided meditation, you can go back to this place establishing this as your sacred space for communion or hearing and receiving your inner wisdom. Or, choose another place that allows you to be warmed by the rising sun; a place that nurtures and nourishes your inner being.
May 2023 New Moon Meditation
In the Pacific time zone the moon is new at 08:53 am on May 19th. The full moon occurs on June 3rd at 8:41 pm. All dates and times taken from https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/@5380273
May has come in with a power all of its own. At times it feels as if light is being brought to darkness; at other times it seems as if the world is still in a deep slumber dreaming of unimportant, frivolous things.
While no spring seems typical or predictable in North Idaho, almost every spring, for me, has come with some feelings of overwhelm at the number of tasks to be done to take advantage of our very short growing and project season. In this particular time, this turning of Ages, it feels like there’s even more at stake. I’m feeling the draw to be of service to Humanity and this beautiful planet in a more meaningful way. To prepare myself physically, emotionally and spiritually for what tasks lie ahead, I need to have restorative time on every level.
This year I’ve been guided to live more joyfully. I’ve learned to take a deep breath, center and remember that everything that truly needs to be done will be done. I’m reminded that help is available when I ask for it; I’m getting better at asking. I’m learning to rest more deeply, so that I have the stamina to remain clear and centered. I’m in love with life.
For this month’s meditation, we’ll be going to a place in nature that restores our Being. This place will be different for everyone. I encourage you to visit your chosen place as often as needed to develop rapport with what nourishes you and to send not just gratitude but a deep abiding love back into this place. Develop a reciprocity of restoration.
April 2023 New Moon Meditation
In the Pacific time zone, the new moon for April is on the 19th at 9:12 pm. The next full moon is on May 5th at 10:34. There will be a total solar eclipse on April 20th that will not be visible from North America. All times taken from: https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/@5380273
Here in the inland northwest, spring is starting to reveal herself. While there’s still a little snow in my flower and garden beds, new life is emerging. Bulbs are poking up seeking the sun and the song birds and squirrels have returned, filling the air with joyful sound. Water from melting snow and rain is still sitting on the land, waiting its turn to be brought back under ground to replenish the Earth.
As I stand in the sunshine, that’s more plentiful but still intermittent, I feel nourished and renewed. Signs of new life and returning life surround and delight me. Even the soil smells rich and fresh. I feel a childlike sense of gratitude for everything that I’m seeing, sensing, hearing and smelling.
This childlike enthusiasm for life is a gift. As I age, I feel a pull to return to the simple things that brought me awe and wonder, a sense of being embraced by the natural world and the knowing that I AM a Divine spark. It’s so easy to get caught up in the world, to walk past beauty, to forget what it is to see life through the eyes innocence and joy.
In this guided meditation, I invite you to embrace your childlike nature, to run and giggle, to feel the sun and starlight on your face, as we journey together to remember our essence.
March 2023 New Moon and Vernal Equinox Meditation
In the Pacific Time Zone, the vernal equinox is on March 20th at 2:24 pm. The moon is new on March 21st at 10:23 am. The next full moon occurs on April 5th at 9:34 pm. (Times taken from timeanddate.com)
The energy of a new moon is for cultivating what one wants to manifest as the moon becomes full; it is conception, initiation, intention.
The energy of the Vernal or Spring Equinox is about waking from the slumber of Winter, not just for ourselves but for the land as well. It is rebirth and renewal on every level.
Each of us will have our own knowing of what we personally need to support us in our rebirthing or renewal process. We will each have our own knowing of what we would like to bring into consciousness for the month and the season.
The rhythm of the seasons and the moon can help guide us in a general way. It’s up to each of us to ask what we can bring to these turnings, and how we can expand our consciousness to hold new capacity for love, peace and wisdom.
How auspicious that the Vernal Equinox and New Moon happen less than 24 hours apart. This is a powerful time. We’re being invited not just to plant new seeds for this year, but to step into a whole new paradigm, if we choose.
February 2023 New Moon Meditation
The moon is new on February 19th, at 11:05 pm in the Pacific time zone. The next full moon occurs on March 7th at 4:40 am in the Pacific time zone.
As the full moon approaches, I ask my highest-self, in alignment with Source, what the focus of the up-coming, new moon meditation should be. Sometimes this comes very quickly and I experience the meditation that is to be brought forth for the month. Sometimes, I receive bits of information in written or audio form as little bread crumbs, guiding me down a path to the format and imagery that would be most beneficial.
This month, I have been guided to ‘just breathe’…well, not just breathe, but to record a few simple, breathing exercises for grounding and nourishing all parts of our Being.
So many of us don’t consciously breathe. We hold our breath without even realizing it or breathe irregularly or shallowly. I observed this in myself recently, as I was relaying a dream I’d had to a friend. I noticed that I was breathing shallowly and rapidly. I wasn’t under any physical stress, but as I was recalling the images, my body reacted. When I finished speaking, I did a quick check-in, emotionally and energetically, took a few deep breaths and brought my body back into balance; this gave me the energy to observe what this reaction was about for me.
Objectively observing our reactions to stimuli is a good skill to have. Having some tools to help us train our bodies to consciously slow down, pause and receive the information that we need in the moment is even better. Breath work is one of those tools.
I hope that you find this guided breathing meditation time useful.
January 2023 New Moon Meditation
The moon is new on January 21st at 12:53 pm Pacific time. The next full moon is on February 5th at 10:28 am Pacific time. (Taken from https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/@5380273)
Wow, 2023! Did it feel like 2022 would never end? Or, did it seem like it flew by? For me, it felt like both. I felt like time was an accordion, compression and expansion… and, not always playing in tune.
The first month of the calendar year brings up goal setting and visioning for many people.
I like to dabble in numerology. As the new calendar year begins, I calculate the Universal Year and my personal numbers, using them as a guide to navigate and integrate the energies of the world with my own.
There are many different descriptions of the energies associated with numbers and the calendar months, as well as ways to calculate the root numbers.
For this New Moon, I’m going to refer to the numerology work of Louise Hay and her book Colors and Numbers, as well as other ascribed meanings for numbers that I’ve learned from a variety of workshops, books and personal experience. Below you’ll find an explanation of how to calculate the Universal Year number and your personal year number, and then a corresponding, brief description of the energies of the numbers.
In this meditation, you can use the energy of your personal year number to set and feel your intention for this calendar year. Or, you can choose a word or concept intuitively, to guide you this year.
To calculate the Universal year, add the numbers of the year together and reduce down to a singe number. So, 2023 is 2+0+2+3=7. We’re in a Universal Year 7. The energy of 7 can be described as spiritual, analytical, intuitive and introspective, perhaps awakening.
To determine your personal year number, add your birthday, month and the universal year together. For example:
23 (birthday) + 12 (December) + 7 (Universal Year) = 23 +12+7
Breaks down to, 5 (2+3) plus 3 (1+2) plus 7 or 5+3+7; further breaks down to, 15…then, 1 + 5 = 6, for a personal year of 6. (Or 23+12+7=42…4+2=6)
Once you’ve determined your personal year number, refer to the descriptions below of the corresponding energies. As always, use your discernment to see how the description of the energies fit for you. I’ll put the key word Louise Hay ascribes to the number first, followed by other “positive” descriptions; this is by no means a complete list.
1-Beginnings; Independent; Pioneering
2-Cooperative; Creative; Harmonious
3-Enjoyment; Optimistic; Self-expression
4-Practical; Self-discipline; Persistent
5-Change; Resourceful; Adventurous
6-Responsibility; Peacemaker; Nurturing
7-Faith; Intuitive; Contemplative
8-Achievemnt; Leadership; Self-motivated
9-Completion; Expansion; Compassionate
December 2022 New Moon Meditation
In the Pacific time zone, December’s New Moon occurs on the 23rd at 02:16 AM; the next Full Moon will be on January 6th at 3:07 pm- these dates/times are taken from www.timeanddate.com.
The New Moon is just a few days after the Winter Solstice. This is a powerful time to hold in our minds what we would like to see in our lives and the world, as the shortest day, the darkest night, give way to the Light.
This time of Winter is a time for the gestation of ideas, a fortifying. It’s a time to dream and hear the whispers of our ancestors. What and who have gone before us to light our way? What are we doing to prepare the way for ourselves and those that will come after us?
All manifestation starts with a seed of thought. As we sit in the darkness of Winter, we have the opportunity to see the light within us. As we breathe the essence of our Divine Nature, let us nurture this light, keeping it snug, building it through intention. Let’s listen to our soul’s desire and Its plan to manifest our highest good and the highest good of all of Humanity and the Earth.
November 2022 New Moon Meditation
The moon is new on November 23rd, at 5:27 am Pacific time. The next full moon arrives on December 7th, at 8:08 pm Pacific time…and is named “The Cold Moon”.
In the Pacific and Inland Northwest, Fall was ushered in by November, like the flip of a switch this year. We went from unusually warm temperatures to unusually cold, in what felt like overnight. Autumn was abruptly pushed out of the way by early winter.
One of the best things about November, in my opinion, is Thanksgiving. I love gathering with family and friends to share the abundance and prosperity of the year. It’s an encouragement to take stock and be grateful for everything in life.
This new moon comes just before Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. I invite you to join me setting an intention for living in a space of gratitude. I know that everything I need is already mine. Let’s expand our grateful hearts to new capacity.
I will use a phrase during the meditation from The Abundance Book by John Randolph Price, also known as “The Little Green Book”, the phrase is part of a “40-Day Prosperity Plan”.
Wishing all a happy Thanksgiving!
October 2022 New Moon Meditation
On October 25th the new moon begins at 03:48 am Pacific Time. This will also be a partial solar eclipse. The moon is full on November 8th at 04:02 am Pacific Daylight time and will be a total lunar eclipse. The 8th is Election Day in the US and the first week of Daylight Savings Time. Whew!
Can you believe it’s already October? Where did this year go?!
To me, October feels like the transition month. Here in the Inland Northwest, we often have beautiful, warm, sunny days with crisp, clear nights; this alternates with blustery, Fall storms. We’re easing into the start of the holiday season with Halloween and Harvest Celebrations. We’re wrapping up the last of the preparations for snow.
This new moon period and the beginning of “eclipse season” is a good time to take a long, deep breath, reconnect and recharge our Being on every level. This is a time to be still, to shine brightly from within and not be distracted by the swirling of the world.
There will always be distractions and things that pull us in different directions. Let’s take a little time for ourselves. Let’s take time to nourish and fortify ourselves so that we can laugh with joy, share the abundance that we’re each manifesting, and love ourselves and each other deeply. Let’s remember who we are and why we came here.
This month’s short meditation is offered as a joyful and simple way to quickly reconnect with your highest self, Christ Consciousness, the Earth and Cosmos.
September 2022 New Moon and Autumnal Equinox Meditation
The Autumnal Equinox is on Thursday, September 22nd. The New Moon occurs on September 25th at 2:54 pm in the Pacific time zone. The moon is full on October 9th at 1:54 pm PT.
September marks the start of Autumn-halfway between summer and winter. The days are becoming shorter, cooler and hopefully wetter too. In coastal areas it’s hurricane season. In the Pacific Northwest, typically, there’s a sudden turn of temperature, turning leaves gorgeous yellows and reds before blanketing the earth and becoming Fall.
September has often brought big shifts in the financial markets. There will forever be the memory of tragedy on 9/11. September has been the harbinger of tough times ahead, in some years.
As I was given the focus of this month’s meditation, I was also called to post it for the Equinox, as preparation for a very powerful New Moon and turbulent times. It is common to connect to Source when calm; remembering to breathe. Walking in Love in times of adversity and fear takes practice.
The power of the new moon is in setting intention, and preparing for what will be made manifest at the full moon. This meditation is an emotional and energetic preparation of sorts. There are many forms of storms and tribulations. It is my prayer that this meditation assists you in remembering that all the power is in the present moment and to live fully, without fear or attachment to outcome. Everything needed, God has placed within us. Breathe. Connect. Thrive.
August 2022 New Moon Meditation
The New Moon occurs on August 27th at 01:16 PT. The moon is full on September 10th at 02:58 PT. The Autumnal Equinox falls on September 22nd.
Here we are at the end of August! Summer is going by so quickly. The Autumnal Equinox is just around the corner and cool wet weather will soon follow, here in the Pacific Northwest. But, let’s enjoy the sun and warmth while it’s here.
It seems that there is a never-ending swirl of chaos moving about the world. There is economic turmoil, political angst, personal shifts and many other distractions flowing around us. What a perfect time to hone our skills and ability to stay centered, grounded and in love with life.
It is my hope that this month’s meditation assists you in developing new skills or sharpening old ones, to navigate this time of change and transition.
Group Distance Reiki is offered on the second Friday of each month from 9:00-9:30 AM, and every fourth Sunday from 6:00-6:30 PM Pacific time. Donations are always welcome. I also offer private Reiki, shamanic and holographic healing sessions by appointment both in person and remote.
I’ll be emailing other up-coming offerings soon. Please join my email list if you haven’t already.
July 2022 New Moon Meditation
The July New Moon occurs on Thursday the 28th at 10:55 AM Pacific Time. The next Full Moon is on August 11th at 6:35 PM Pacific time.
Summer is in full swing! Vacations, heat, tending gardens, so many summery things taking place. For some, the summer brings a longing for adventure, for the childlike wonder many of us once knew but in adulthood is now sometimes elusive.
Memories of my childhood times playing out in nature, being care free and knowing that anything in my imagination was a possibility, have drifted into my mind recently. I enjoy these memories of my childhood and the years that my own children had similar but different experiences. Summer is a time to gather up the sunshine, joy and abundance that surrounds us. The sun is a symbol of the fire energy that nourishes growth and brings light to the darkness-it is transformative but sometimes harsh and scorching.
There can also be an urgency to summer. Do you feel this? Some are feeling a need to prepare to share and take care of their community, as our financial, healthcare and political systems are being pushed and pulled apart. Some are feeling the old and familiar parable of the Grasshopper and the Ant, making sure that they’re using their time effectively. It is my prayer for all of us, that using time wisely includes tending to self-care, joy, play and living in the present moment-even while tending and putting away the harvest for another day.
This month, I needed a reminder to do a nourishing and balancing technique for inner strength and vitality. July’s meditation was first posted in May, 2021-The Golden Mesh Mediation. I tend to do this both from Root to Crown and Crown to Root. I feel very blessed to have received this meditation. I hope that you enjoy it too.
June 2022 New Moon Meditation
June’s New Moon occurs on the 28th. The next Full Moon is on July 13th and is a “super moon”.
June has been a powerful month. We had the full moon on the 14th followed by the Summer Solstice on the 21st. I have been feeling a lot of energy stirring and shifts of consciousness and perception, not just in myself but through out humanity. I hope this has been your experience too.
I’m in need of some personal, inward time. So, I have linked a previous meditation that feels like what I need to focus on; perhaps it will feel relevant for you too.
My prayer is that I and all of our ‘family’ stay centered in love, peace and compassion, with a deepening connection to Source. Blessings to all.
May 2022 New Moon Meditation
This month’s New Moon begins on May 30th at 04:30 AM Pacific Time. The next Full Moon is June 14th at 04:52 AM Pacific Time and will be a “Supermoon”.
May brought us a total lunar eclipse on the 15th…the “blood moon”. It felt powerful to me and left me agitated for several days. It was the letting go of things I didn’t know that I was holding that stirred me. I hope it was powerful for you, as well.
As I asked in meditation for what is most needed to be sent out for this New Moon, a feeling of serenity and excitement flowed into me. This month’s meditation may feel a little bit different from some of the previous meditations. This was a very emotional experience for me. It was powerful.
This new moon precedes the Summer Solstice (June 21). We can take this opportunity to ‘light our fire’, to feel into our inner stillness and inner power; especially when we find ourselves in the midst of chaos and darkness. We have seen many calls to violence, to separation and division this month. And yet, we have also been given new capacity to hold space for peace and the claiming of our inner sovereignty and neutrality. We are a conduit of Divine flow, manifested. Let each of us recognize and claim this for ourselves with conscious intent.
April 2022 Second New Moon Meditation
This April is blessed with two new moons! The second is on April 30th at 1:28 pm, PDT; this will also be a partial solar eclipse. The next full moon will be May 15th at 9:15 pm, PDT and a total lunar eclipse!
How appropriate that April should begin and end with a new moon. This month has held powerful energies for many. Do you feel like you’ve been tossed about by the ocean, ebbing and flowing in a less than gentle way? Or being squeezed in, and out, like an accordion, flowing with a symphony of sometimes discordant tones?
In many climates, April is a transition month-moving us from the dormancy of winter to the more dynamic energy of spring. It’s often volatile, stormy, calm, sunny and everything in between. To me, the weather of this time of year can also be the manifestation of what I feel emotionally. There’s the push to let what I’ve gestated over the internal time of winter, grow; but the feeling that it may not be time for those ideas and changes to flourish. I may need more nurturing
So, for this second new moon in April, the meditation is about going within, just being with one’s self, and allowing whatever you need at this time to come forward to be loved and nurtured.
The next New Moon Meditation will be at the end of May.
April 2022 New Moon Meditation
In the PDT zone, the new moon falls on March 31st at 11:27 pm. The moon is full on April 16th.
Spring has arrived! Did it feel like it would never get here? There are so many things shifting and changing. Finding the place of balance and neutrality may feel challenging. This is a beautiful time to look back at what the cocooning of winter has prepared us to emerge as. Who are you made to be?
The new moon in April gives us an opportunity to let the energy and flow of the recent equinox continue to wash over and through us, to absorb it on every level. Spring is a time of renewal and innocence. Let’s vision and feel into living our most inspired, dynamic life, even in what may seem like very uncertain times. This is a time to set aside doubt, shame, unworthiness-all things that keep us playing small by creating new patterns and habits. I invite you to bring the desires of your heart into your mind and feeling nature; then let Divine fill in the details. Live in gratitude and innocence, by choice.
April marks the one-year anniversary of my commitment to writing and recording a New Moon Meditation each month. For any who don’t know what my process is with these meditations, I want to give you a “behind the scenes” look.
Each month, following the full moon, I start asking what Source/God, would like flow through me, in the form of a guided meditation. I start to get words, visions, synchronicities and then I sit down to write. When I quiet and start to write, I’m taken through the meditation. Sometimes this is a start to finish process, and sometimes it’s in small pieces as I write. Each time, it is a download from Divine. I’m so grateful to receive these and be given a place to share them. Thank you for receiving them. Thank you to all who have made suggestions that have made them flow better.
I want to thank my beautiful husband for his diligence in doing the sound engineering process and being my advisor in all things ‘tech’. He has been very patient.
I look forward to sharing many more meditations and events.
March 2, 2022 New Moon Meditation
The New Moon rises on March 2nd. The Full Moon occurs on 18th. There is a second New Moon on March 31st in the Pacific Time Zone.
March! Even the name compels us to move forward. It evokes the promise of new life, of new beginnings.
In many parts of the country spring is beginning to show herself; budding trees, the aroma of fresh, moist soil, new life. Here in the Inland Northwest—at least at my home, we’re still in the throes of winter with snow/rain, cold and wind. But we feel the promise of spring.
In last month’s meditation, we chose the seeds that we want to plant this season. If you didn’t access this meditation, I would recommend that you do so, before listening to this month’s offering.
There is so much happening in our outside world. Taking the time to nurture and build our inner self, gives us the foundation and connection to navigate the changes and challenges. We can leave any old programing of victimhood, adversarial or defensive actions to whither, as we plant and nurture love, resilience, openness or whatever traits will serve the highest and greatest good. We choose what we plant and cultivate, consciously or not; it’s a good time to be conscious!
February 2022 New Moon Meditation
The New moon arrives at 9:46 pm PST on 1/31/22 (or 00:46 EST on February 1st). The moon is full on February 16th. Chinese Lunar New Year is timed by the new moon cycle; the zodiac Chinese New Year of the Black Water Tiger begins on February 4th.
It feels like January zoomed by me! And yet, there was also the feeling of being still while everything moved around me. So much going on but nothing moving forward! Very paradoxical. What an interesting time of beginnings this month! The New Moon, Chinese New Year, Imbolc and Groundhog Day, all coincide!
From ancient days, this is the time of year when we’re starting to stir from regenerative darkness, from gestation, seeking the first rays of light, and then back to Winter’s dreams of Spring until the Equinox. February 1st/2nd is the Celtic Fire Festival of Imbolc, also known as Candlemas, and on February 2nd, we have Groundhog Day. Both bring images of emerging from our burrows or safe winter quarters, to assess what the next turning will bring, and what Spring may hold for us. We long to see the first light of Spring and the blessing of what will manifest from the seeds that we will plant this year. We’re in the in between time of waning Winter, but not emerged Spring.
We have the opportunity, now, to continue our rest, to assess our seeds and choose what we’ll nurture as the year moves through the seasons.
There will be a meditation to support the work that is done with this New Moon in the Spring.
January 2022 New Moon Meditation
The New Moon occurs on January 2nd at 1:33 EST/11:33 PST, AM. The Full Moon is on January 17th at 6:48 pm EST/3:48 pm PST.
How interesting that we start the New Year on a New Moon! I typically don’t make New Year resolutions, but I do love to set intentions during the New Moon and watch them grow with the moon’s light, manifesting or culminating with the Full Moon. This year, however, I’ll be setting intentions not just for the New Moon, but to guide me through this new year. To me, this feels like a very important New Moon, and a very powerful year to come.
As we move into 2022, it’s a good time to let go of the things from 2021 and prior, that no longer serve us. It’s also a good time to take stock of the things that we’ve been gifted, things that have been revealed to us and how we’ve been fortified to step into a new season.
I’ve had recurring phrases come to me in my personal meditations and dreams over the last year, one of those being “Nothing is as it appears.” One of the most beautiful things about this phrase is the encouragement to look at all things through the eyes of innocence; not assigning immediate meaning but observing what is truly being shown to me. “Nothing is as it appears”, has opened my mind and heart to look at things from all parts of my own history (childhood to current), our country’s history, the story of Humanity, the Earth, and my/our place in Creation. As I more fully live from a place of observance, I realize the gift of this phrase. To me, this phrase is not unsettling or fearful, it’s a call to see with new eyes.
Wishing you the eyes to see and ears to hear–inspiring you to take the actions that will bring you into alignment with Divine Will in a joyous and powerful way.
December 2021 New Moon Meditation
December’s New Moon takes place on December 4th GMT. In the Pacific Time Zone, it’s December 3rd at 11:43 pm.
December brings us the Winter Solstice and the Holiday Season, both religious and secular. This time of year, often provides a wide variety of experiences and emotions, joy and grieving, letting go and receiving fully what the year has given.
Astronomically, it is the start of winter; the Winter Solstice. The ending of this year continues with dynamic intensity. We had a partial Lunar Eclipse on the Full Moon on November 19th. We’ll have a total Solar Eclipse and the New Moon on December 4th. This is a powerful time to set intentions, and to review the challenges and blessings of the past year with a grateful heart and opened mind. Below is an article about the astronomy of the Total Solar Eclipse.
December 2021 Solar Eclipse Information
This month’s New Moon meditation walks you through the recognition and nourishment of your inner light. Even the smallest spark of light becomes vibrant in the dark. Just as our courage, our spark of Divinity, and our inner strength can shine brightly through the darkest of times.
The moon is full on December 18th at 8:35, pm PST and the Winter Solstice occurs on December 21st at 7:59 am PST. Both of these dates are a good time to give thanks for the growth and experiences that were seeded during the New Moon.
May you receive the illumination within you, and see it in all of Humanity.
If you live in the Sandpoint area—I invite you to participate in an hour of Ecstatic Movement on Tuesday, December 14th from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Gardenia Center. I’ll be sending more information soon.
November 2021 New Moon Meditation
November’s New Moon falls on Thursday, the fourth.
Here in the Inland Northwest, autumn is a blustery, unpredictable time. In the colder climates, November brings the push to prepare for winter. Across the nation, its election time, Thanksgiving and then the start of the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season.
November can feel stressful for many. Currently many people have an overlay of feeling a transition or big change coming our way. While there is a concerted effort to divide along so many lines, political, racial, medical, we have the opportunity to choose division or unity, to stand in our sovereignty and allow others to do the same; to be at peace in the storm. Another choice would be victimhood and slave mentality. Sometimes the programing is so deeply held that we don’t recognize it as something outside of us.
Autumn is a time for looking at our storehouse both physically and metaphorically. Have we gathered what we need to get through the winter? Do we have things that need to be repaired or let go of to make life more efficient and cozier? Do we need to acquire more supplies or build tenacity? The New Moon is a beautiful time to review and set the intention of what we need and desire. Vision, feel and give thanks for those things that are flowing to you, knowing that they have manifested, even if you aren’t seeing it yet.
The Full Moon on November, 19th (with a partial eclipse) is a great time to finish the integration of those intentions set on or around the New Moon.
Just a reminder–the New Moon, the day before and day after is a powerful time to set intention, to ask for revelation and alignment with Divine. Let the intention flow and the manifestation of your desires strengthen, as the moon becomes full.
October 2021 New Moon Meditation
October’s New Moon arrives on Wednesday, the 6th.
How is October flowing for you? We are smack dab in the middle of Mercury Retrograde. I’ve noticed lots of venues trying to control and censor information—everything from politics and health to weather around the world. I’m grateful for the interconnectedness of my Being to Source and the gifts of discipline and discernment. As we continue to transition into the Age of Aquarius, we are called daily to remember who we are. Every day the world asks us who we are, and in every moment, we get to choose. We can be calm but dynamic, full of joy and love, radiating the Light of Creator through us. Or, we can be filled with fear, with judgement and driven by lack. We get to choose. What a blessing that we are given the awareness to make corrections and ‘change course’ back to a loving, balanced life in the blink of an eye!
The end of September and beginning of October have been a challenging time for me and my family. Tim and I have been ill but are finding our way back to balance and health. This month, I have chosen not to record a meditation. I invite you to listen to one or more of the previously recorded meditations from this year.
*As always, this meditation while guided, is to allow each person to have their own experience.
With Love,
Deborah
September 2021 New Moon Meditation
September’s New Moon arrives on Monday, the 6th.
September is the beginning of both meteorological and astrological Autumn. It is a time of transition. This year’s Autumnal Equinox falls on September 22nd, just two days after the Full Moon. And, this year’s last Mercury Retrograde starts on the 27th. September is a month of harvest, of completion. What is it that you would like to harvest? What have you been cultivating this year, up till now? September is a good time to take stock. Set revised intentions at the New Moon, and culminate or harvest at the Full Moon.
This has been a tumultuous and divisive year for many around the world. Many of the people I’ve spoken with recently have expressed feeling waves of joy, inner strengthening, and determination interspersed with sadness, despair, and anger. All feelings have a purpose in pointing us toward shedding things that have dampened our Light, can lead us to inner-standing, and can assist us to move spiritual guidance into Right Relationship and Right Action. What is right and correct for one, may not be for another. Allowing others to have their own experience, even if it doesn’t resonate with our own, leads us to live in a state of grace and peace—I am speaking these words to myself, for personal reinforcement, not just to all who read this.
This month’s meditation will focus on the gathering of joy. I think it’s a healthy thing to acknowledge and flow with the feelings that are less than comfortable; move through them, and not stuff them. I have found it equally important to strengthen those things that nourish me. So, we’ll focus on centering in joy this month. We’ll focus on growing our inner light.
August 2021 New Moon Meditation
The August New Moon falls on Sunday, the 8th.
As I was asking for the focus of this meditation…while in meditation, I had a beautiful experience with fire and water. As often happens, I had the opportunity to then live out this energy.
This week a wildfire is close to our home and we’ve been getting prepared, in case we have to evacuate. We’ve moved many pieces of homesteading equipment to a few friend’s homes who live farther from the fire, and we’ve done as much as we can do to prepare to leave. A good wetting rain has come twice this week. It hasn’t put out the fire, but it has given us a chance to slow down, rest and re-focus on what would be important for us to take with us if we need to leave.
This experience has given us several blessings (we’re still packed and ready to go). It helped us (my husband and me) burn away the complacency that can come with day-to-day life. It showed us how truly embraced by love and abundance we are; we feel refreshed and renewed. We are now making some changes that we’ve been intending to make but had procrastinated. This is a powerful experience; an ignition, of sorts. We’re grateful and blessed to be having it.
I hope that this meditation assists you in doing the same, without the drama! May you allow the burning off of all things that don’t serve you and be given the discernment (intention) to place into action any changes that will support your highest good (manifestation). May your passions be ignited by the Light of Divine.
*As always, this meditation while guided, is to allow each person to have their own experience.
Just a reminder–the New Moon, the day before and day after is a powerful time to set intention, to ask for revelation and alignment with Divine. Let the intention flow and the manifestation of your desires strengthen, as the moon becomes full.
July 2021 New Moon Meditation
July’s New Moon arrives on Friday, the 9th. This year has been unrelenting in its ability to bring things to the surface to be healed. It’s sometimes hard for me to believe that we’re half-way through this year! I’m not sure about you but I’m feeling like I’m riding waves, peaks and troughs of time compression and expansion. Time continues to feel very fluid to me.
These transition years of the Age of Aquarius are very dynamic. It is an opportunity for growth on every level. This is a time to center in love and wisdom; a time to actively navigate through our blind spots, raise our vibrations and keep them high. This is a time to ask for clarity and discernment—and receive it with gratitude. The collective rise in frequency will support the maturation of Humanity.
May you find this month’s guided meditation to be a helpful tool to stay heart centered, refreshed and growing even stronger in your connection to Divine.
June 2021 New Moon
June is following in May’s footsteps and maybe even trying to “one up” a bit! May brought us the Super Moon and a full lunar eclipse—powerful. As we enter into the new moon of June, it coincides with a partial solar eclipse. The Summer Solstice is also just 10 days away from the new moon.
This month’s meditation marks the mid-point of the year. Many are commenting on the feeling of chaos, or a feeling of “one step forward and two steps back”. We have the power to choose where we place our attention and how we want to experience our existence here in this time. I’ve referenced ‘remembering who you are’, but you may choose any intention that feels right for you. You have the opportunity with this meditation to use the metaphor of the power of sunlight to receive the Christ Light from our Source to experience your true nature.
Just a reminder–the New Moon, the day before and day after is a powerful time to set intention, to ask for revelation and alignment with Divine. Let the intention flow and the manifestation of your desires strengthen, as the moon becomes full.
May 2021 New Moon
Another powerful month! Can you feel the swirling of energies, the chaos and the peace moving in waves across our planet? If you’re feeling the vacillation between feeling grounded and completely knocked off your feet, you may find that having a routine way to clear and nourish your Being, is in order. Why do a clearing daily? As we move through our day, or process things through our dreamtime, there is a need for diligent, purposeful clearing and transmuting of the things we’re processing.
Below you will find a short mediation to do just that.
April 2021 New Moon
The power of spring is in full effect. This is a beautiful time to go within and look at the seeds that you’ve sown; is it time to weed out things that you didn’t intend or to transplant the seedling of a new idea? Perhaps you just need to evaluate and assess what’s starting to grow. This is a time to tend our internal garden.
Below is a short, guided meditation to get you started. May your garden grow beautifully.
