What a powerful new moon this is! Last evening and into this morning, I felt very emotional, out of sorts and frustrated. Have I felt this way before? Yes, of course. What I realize is that there are things being brought up for me to clear and transmute—things I thought I’d let go of. Another level of the spiral. I’m grateful for the opportunity for expansion, even if it’s at times, uncomfortable.

I’d already planned to share this short writing with you. After the waves of emotion, I’ve been feeling today, it seems even more appropriate. I wrote this piece for a writer’s workshop. I hope my experience translates into something that stirs your Being, as it did mine.

The question of “Who do you think you are?” is a great thing to ponder and explore as we start a new year. This question provides a foundation for who and how you want to express yourself in the coming year. It calls you to remember who you are. If you’re called to share your response to this question, I’d love to know who you are!

 “Who do you think you are?” asking from a genuine perspective and giving an honest response. 

When this question came up, I immediately went to a memory of my sons during a time of turmoil that was soothed by a delicious family meal and deep, lively conversation. At the end of the evening as they were leaving, I blessed both of them, putting my hand on their hearts asking them to “remember who you are.” I have given myself this same directive over the last several years, so I understood the blessing wasn’t fluff or an easy ask. “Who do you think you are?” carries a similar feeling for me. It’s kind of intimidating…so, here goes.

To open my mind and heart to this question, I imagined an angelic being, radiant, benevolent and loving, standing before me. This being is like a shimmering cloud of energy with glimpses of facial features and hands. Standing directly across from me, she extends a hand, placing her palm on my heart space, as I did with my sons. I’d like to share the experience that this ‘imaginary’ being brought to me.

As her palm touched my chest, I immediately felt a deep abiding love. She asked the question without judgement. She began assisting me in remembering who I am, just by being present with me. She gave me space to define who I am at the core of my being.

I started slowly, with the things that seemed easy. “I’m a mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend. I am a healing facilitator.” I paused. “I am a paradox of traits. I have deep shadows and shiny facades. I can be very opinionated yet open to hearing different perspectives. I’m full of self-doubt and introverted. I often feel that I am perceived as being aloof by others. I’m an “observer.” I started to think of the portions of me that are more than this current expression.  I went on. “I’m a Divine spark. I’m lifetimes and lifetimes of soul pieces supporting the current soul of “Deborah” in physical form.” I also know that the soul of who I am in this body supports and is a part of the other soul pieces in their physical form. Sometimes I have memories of these other lives and can call upon the skills that were gathered in those other experiences.” Not wanting to seem either boastful or too critical I stop my conversation with this being, silently asking if she’s heard enough. She responded gently “Have you heard enough? I think you can dig a little deeper. Who are you really?” She stated this in the nicest possible way. Ugh.

I felt my face get hot, and tears started to slide down my cheeks; there was a lump in my throat constricting my breath. “Why is this so hard? Why am I afraid of living, afraid of being seen, afraid of doing what I came here to do?” She gently communicates to me that it is I who called upon her and that I know the answers to these questions. She is not here to scold or give me a pep talk. She gently states “I am here because you called for assistance. ‘Why’ is not a productive question.”  I muster a whisper, “What IS the question that I should be asking?” Her voice is not audible but telepathic. I hear her words within my being, soothing like slow-moving water over rocks. She gives me some alternative questions to ponder. “How can I live in alignment with my Divinity? Where does this fear of being seen come from and how can I let go of the fear that I will be judged? What can I do differently to bring my being into its highest good and purpose? Do you feel the difference of the tone of these questions?” With her hand still upon my heart, I could feel a calmness flow through me, entraining my consciousness up to a different level. I took several deep, centering breaths and allowed myself to remember what it is to live in this higher state. I wiped the tears from my eyes and placed my hands on top of her hand, thanking her for her suggestions.

She asked again, “Tell me, who do you think you are? Let yourself explore all the possibilities. Leave nothing out, even the so-called bad things and the things that seem implausible to your human mind. Follow the cord of light within you, let it pull you to the highest expression of who you are.” 

From this altered state of consciousness, I began again with a deepened sense of self, a peacefulness—the way I feel when I’m working on behalf of others in journey space or during an energetic healing session. I started speaking, very quietly at first, “I am a conduit, a clear and open channel of the highest frequencies of love, light and healing, in service to humanity, the Earth and my highest self”. I paused, my voice was gathering strength and conviction. “I am Life. I am a being of light manifesting physical form. I am joy, beauty, intelligence, compassion. I am a co-creator with Divine.” I continued, sharing with this being; “I have also experienced what it is to be cruel, filled with rage and uncontrolled emotions; to be violent.” I went on, “These were powerful teachers. I’m grateful for knowing that the spectrum of creation is within me. I can now freely choose to express the attributes that further the evolution of Humanity, propelling myself, reeling myself in on that cord of light to my highest expression, physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. I am who I choose to be.” I realized as I was speaking to this loving being, that who I think I am changes as I more fully integrate the magnificence of my soul into physical form. The more I know myself, the more I let go of the traits that don’t serve me, allowing me to be more curious about the world around me and realize how my thoughts and feelings change and shape everything around me.

I felt satisfied, but spent. I thanked her for her assistance and patience. I felt her energy gently withdraw. I felt her blessing. I stayed in the space of peace and wonderment for several minutes, soaking in who I think I am; who I know I am.

This encounter lingered, giving me new insights. I’m a “late bloomer” in some ways, yet it also feels like I came to this life with more of an adult mindset than a child. I am actively cultivating a childlike sense of joy. I have gifts to share. To hold them back (as I have in the past) would be a dis-service to myself and my Creator. Receiving this wisdom was truly a gift. I will use it to give myself a little shove when I’m feeling stuck or less than worthy. 

I’ve said good-bye to 2023. While I’ve heard many say “Good riddance!” I have been reviewing the blessings that flowed to me so abundantly over this last year…some perhaps in disguise.

2023 brought deep loss in many ways. I lost a dear friend unexpectedly. Paul’s death brought reconnection with old friendships and the creation of new ones.

I lost a lot of my summer to writing. The time was well spent—learning to write my first book proposal and submitting it by the deadline. I felt the loss of playtime that summer usually brings, but the sense of accomplishment for something totally outside my box was a fair trade. That experience has helped me envision a new path.

Some dear friends moved away this year. While I miss them daily, I now have a new place to visit and they have inspired me to live in a more spontaneous way.

This last part of the year, has been very introspective and healing for me. I hope that it’s been similar for you. I’ve been able to see how ideas like jealousy and feeling inferior, have kept me in a box of my own making. At the same time, I’ve experienced overflowing gratitude for the friends, family and community that surround me. I feel a deeper connection to the Christ Consciousness within, than I ever have. Quite the year.

So, what’s in store for 2024? I know in my Being that this is a year of tremendous opportunity for growth both personally and for Humanity. You may remember that I love to dabble in numerology. The most common way of doing “the numbers” is to add in a single column or straight across, reducing to a single number; for this year an 8 (2+0+2+4=8). This is the “Universal Year.” I like to look at the meaning of the numbers that go into making up that reduction to a single digit. For this year, (2) twos and a single four.

There are negative and positive aspects to all numbers. We all have these favorable and less favorable traits in some form throughout our lives. Eight carries aspects of authority, being pioneering and hardworking, as well as, intimidating. It can also convey poverty consciousness and manipulation. The number two energy may support the eight with traits such as, cooperation, being creative, indecisive, or co-dependent. Four is described as grounded, persistent, inflexible or controlling. I like to think of this set of numbers (2+0+2+4) for this Universal Year Eight in the positive form—the Cooperative Builder; building systems, communities and ideas in a pioneering, creative way. The less favorable aspects might feel something like contention, control and a tearing down of systems without regard for life, creating fear and dependence. The beautiful thing is that we each get to choose which path we want to walk and support.

When I think about how we phrase the year, most will say “twenty, twenty-four”. When these numbers are added together (20+24) it comes to 44—considered a master number. The 44/8 energy, according to Numerology Spiritual Light Vibrations by Jeanne Morris is “Building Force—Master Of Spiritual Power—Authority—Giving And Receiving—Dependable—Needs To Unify—Reevaluation”

Please place this quote from Jeanne’s book in the context of navigating this Universal Year.

“You have opportunities as a Master of Spiritual Power that demand a great deal from you. You are well developed physically, emotionally, mentally, and you need to tune in to the intuitive area so that you can link up with the Higher Spiritual Force. The pull and struggle comes between the materialism and the mysticism, which you need to learn to balance. Security in the material is necessary but true security comes through the linking of the Spiritual energies with the material world. You have a conventional approach to all that you do, and you have a desire to build a Spiritual structure on earth. Your need for success will come through routine work and perseverance towards your goals. There is an opportunity for great authority and power that needs to be used for the elevation of the whole of humanity. You must remain flexible and allow others their beliefs and their own convictions. Rigidity can be a hindrance as the key to life is understanding the Universal Law of Freedom and Change. The 44/8 energy, the higher vibration or Master number of 44 versus the 8, resonates with my intuition for the coming year. I have a desire to be of greater service. In regard to work I used to say, “I’m a part-time girl.” This no longer holds true. I’m all in this year; work hard, play hard, live and love in a larger way. It’s going to be a grand year!

What a powerful time we’re in! Can you feel the old and broken ways being exposed? This is an especially potent time to vision and FEEL the new; the world that you want to create.

We’re not only entering the New Moon on December 12^th, but also the 12:12 Stargate or Portal. Astrology is not my forte’ but I can feel the frequency shifts that are occurring and supporting Humanity and our Earth at this time. Can you feel this too? It’s like the Universe is saying “I double dog dare you, to step into who you came to be!” I’m hearing, and answering this call.

How will I create a new pathway for myself? As the earth enters this portal, an alignment with the Galactic Center, I will be out in nature and call upon the team of beings who assist and guide me; this includes Yeshua/Sananda, the Christ Consciousness within me, Mother Gaia, to name a few. I will smudge myself and the grove of trees that I work in with sacred herbs. I’ll tone and sing the song of my Being. As I move deeper into the void, I’ll give gratitude for my role as a conduit of the highest frequencies of love, light and healing, for myself, this planet and Humanity. And then I’ll ask to entrain up even higher. I will vision and feel my physical, emotional, mental and energetic bodies being expanded to greater capacity, allowing whatever stands in the way of me recognizing and being my highest self, to be dissolved. I will allow the embodiment of my True Self and let the shadows be revealed and receive Light.

And then I’ll listen to the Voice of Source. I’ll ask to know or have downloaded into me how I am to be of the greatest service at this time. I will give gratitude and appreciation for the care, and abiding love that is being expressed and poured into me. I will be nurtured and nourished. I will feel the wholeness of my Being in the deepest possible way.

This will be my devotion, my ritual from the new moon/12:12 Stargate, until the Solstice on 12:21. While I know this will be an inward powerful process, it will also be a time of childlike wonder and joy; no need to be solemn or pious.

With each day, I will glean actionable information to be my best self in all aspects. My responsibility is to absorb the symbols and information that are being given to me and put them into movement, knowing that I have everything I need.

This is my personal commitment for the incredible opportunity of growth and support that’s being offered at this time. What will you do? How will you use the energies of this time between the New Moon and the Winer Solstice? It will be different for everyone. You may choose to light a candle and meditate, take a walk, have a detoxifying/recharging crystal bath. There are so many options!

I invite you to create your own ceremony or ritual for this unique time. Create a sacred space for yourself that has meaning—but don’t stress about it! Do what feels nourishing, but stretches you just a bit in a new and wonderful direction.

STARGATE OPENING (12:12)

The sun entered the fire sign of Sagittarius on November 22nd at 6:03 am Pacific Time. Sagittarius is known as the Archer and represents the learned healer whose higher intelligence forms a bridge between Earth and Heaven.

The center of the Milky Way Galaxy where it is brightest, is located at 27° Sagittarius, and is known as the Galactic Center.

The Sun aligns with the Galactic Center during an annual cosmic corridor from December 12th (12:12) thru December 21st (12:21). It will be at its strongest from December 18th thru December 21st.

This alignment will open a stargate and infuse Divine Light Consciousness that supports us in our spiritual evolution and for the Universe as a whole.

Winter Solstice is the great stillness before the Sun’s strength builds and the days grow longer in the northern hemisphere. The Sun begins a new foundation as it enters the Sign of Capricorn.

In the Northern Hemisphere, we are experiencing the longest and darkest nights of the year and the shortest days with the least amount of daylight. In the Southern Hemisphere, we are experiencing the opposite. Wherever you are, this Solstice is a turning point for the light.

The energy of winter solstice is about pausing and going within for rest and deep reflection. It is a great opportunity for personal growth and transformation.

The Solstice is a powerful day for Sacred Rituals honoring both the darkness and the light and inviting balance and harmony into your life. Celebrate this day with lights!
